Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using Selis, you agree to these terms.

The app

Selis is a notes/task-capture application. A free, local-only tier requires no account. An optional paid tier, Selis Pro, adds end-to-end encrypted sync across your devices, plus other features described in the app.

Accounts

Creating a Selis account (to use sync) requires signing in with Google or Apple and setting a master password. You're responsible for keeping your master password safe — because of how encryption works (see the Privacy Policy), we cannot recover it or your encrypted data if it's lost.

Subscriptions and purchases

Selis Pro is offered as a monthly or annual subscription, at the prices shown in the app and in the App Store / Play Store listing — always charged in your local currency. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. All purchases are billed through Apple's or Google's in-app purchase systems, which also handle refunds according to their own policies. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.

Feature requests

If you submit or vote on feature requests through the app, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free right to use those ideas to improve Selis, without any obligation to credit or compensate you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Selis for anything unlawful, or to store or transmit content you don't have the right to.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer the server side of, or gain unauthorized access to Selis's infrastructure or other users' data.
• Use automated means to abuse the service (e.g. mass account creation, scraping).

Your content

You own what you write in Selis. We claim no rights to your notes. With sync enabled, we store them only as encrypted ciphertext, only to provide the sync feature back to you.

Start Fresh

The "Start Fresh" action, available in Sync settings, permanently and irreversibly deletes your account's encrypted notes and encryption setup from our servers and every device signed in to your account. We cannot undo this once it's done.

Availability

We aim to keep sync available but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. The free, local tier works fully offline regardless of server status. We may change or discontinue features, with reasonable notice for anything that materially affects paid functionality.

Termination

You may stop using Selis and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate the acceptable-use terms above.

Disclaimer and liability

Selis is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including data loss resulting from a forgotten master password, device loss, or similar circumstances outside our control. Nothing here limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. We'll update the date above; material changes will be noted in the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
